Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior QA Engineer (Manual Testing) to help ensure the quality and usability of software. You will execute manual tests, document defects, and collaborate with developers and product teams in an Agile setting.

Ideal candidates hold a related degree and 0–2 years in QA or testing, with familiarity in SDLC/STLC and test case development. Strong communication, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related role; fresh graduates welcome.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Experience writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
• Good written and verbal communication; willing to learn in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile apps.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for test scenarios.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases and scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira.
• Provide clear bug reports with steps, results, and evidence.
• Retest and regression test after fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and Product/Business teams to resolve issues.
• Validate behavior across browsers, devices, and environments when applicable.
• Maintain QA documentation, test results, and reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous QA improvements.
