Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to drive quality assurance within our software engineering team. You will build robust QA processes, extend automated test suites, and advocate for test-driven development across cross-functional squads.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software QA development experience with hands-on test suite creation and modification.
Tech stack includes Ruby, PostgreSQL, and modern CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket).
Experience with web automation frameworks; Playwright preferred, Puppeteer acceptable.
Ability to design complex test logic, multi-step state setups, and edge-case scenarios.
SaaS testing across API, integration, database, visual, performance, and load testing.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to advocate for quality in a cross-functional team.
EST time zone preferred as the team operates on EST/Central hours.

Responsibilities

Design, write, and document test plans and manual test cases for automation foundations.
Maintain and extend existing automated test suites and manage complex test state setups.
Collaborate in daily stand-ups and sprints, clarifying requirements and testing reasoning.
Evaluate tickets for overall intent to catch edge cases early in development.
Provide insights on QA tools, architecture, and framework enhancements for scalability.
