This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior - Midlevel Interior Designer at Studio Locene. The Designer will be responsible for helping to develop and implement design concepts for interior spaces. They will work closely with the design director to create design solutions that meet the needs of clients and enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of interior spaces.
Mostly remote work, but must be able to go on site visits & sourcing trips around Metro Manila (typically 2-3 times per week, varying by project phase).
Other responsibilities include:
Research on design concepts and design limitations
Coordinating with clients, architects, & suppliers
Creating technical drawings using AutoCAD
Building models on SketchUp
Rendering high-quality visualisations
Creating client presentations & deliverables
As a boutique studio, you'll have real ownership and visible impact on the projects you touch. Our portfolio spans a genuinely wide range: private residences, commercial spaces, hospitality, and specialty projects, giving you broader creative and technical exposure than a typical junior role at a larger firm. You'll work directly with the design director rather than through layers of hierarchy, and as we grow, there's real room to grow with us.
You'll have clear project ownership from day one, with regular check-ins to stay aligned and supported rather than left to figure things out alone. We value designers who communicate proactively - if something's blocked or off-track, we want to know early.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
Demonstrated expertise in design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp
Preferably knowledgeable in any rendering software (Enscape, Vray, D5, etc.)
Ability to create and communicate design concepts effectively to clients and team members
1-2 years of experience (preferably with site visit and punchlisting experience)
Experience with space planning and furniture layout
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
Monthly salary: ₱20,000 - ₱25,000 (based on experience)
