Job summary

NEWCORE INDUSTRIES INTERNATIONAL, INC is seeking a Mechanical Design & QS Engineer in Makati to design and estimate costs for HVAC, fire protection and piping systems in fit-out projects. You will attend client and supplier meetings, review quotations, and ensure accurate technical feedback.

The role requires 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and strong Autocad skills; familiarity with HVAC design software and Planswift is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 months to 2 years of design and QS experience in HVAC/piping for residential or commercial programs.
• Strong Autocad skills.
• Experience with HVAC design software and/or hydraulic calculations is a plus; Planswift knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and estimates the cost of mechanical systems for fit-out projects (HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing).
• Attends meetings with client and local suppliers. Evaluate quotations technically and provides technical feedback.
• Inspects the sites to evaluate existing conditions of Mechanical installation and/or to estimate the amount of work to execute new mechanical systems (HVAC, Fire Protection).
• Inspects the sites whenever it is required to solve HVAC or piping issues, or to support site implementation team.
• Material Sourcing / Purchasing
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned
