Job summary

ALEC Holdings seeks a Junior Measuring Quantity Surveyor based in the Philippines to support UAE projects. You will work with the pre-contract commercial team, handling quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation across tender stages.

The role offers learning opportunities under experienced estimators and senior QS staff, with site visit exposure when required. You will develop technical and commercial skills, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in measurements, and contribute to tender documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
0–2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction measurement.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and technical docs.
Familiarity with standard methods of measurement (POMI, CESMM, NRM 1 & 2).
Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools.
Experience with quantity take-off software (AutoCAD, PlanSwift, CAD Measure) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specs, BIM models, and tender docs across all design stages.
Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) per standard methods and latest tender docs.
Review drawings/specifications to identify inconsistencies and raise RFIs as needed.
Collaborate with estimators and senior QS to ensure complete scope coverage and reduce errors.
Update quantities promptly after addenda and revised drawings to meet deadlines.
Support post-award measurement, variations, and quantity updates during projects.
