Job summary

Austal Philippines is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to deliver mechanical engineering deliverables for marine vessel projects. You will perform calculations, drawings, requisitions, reports, investigations, and trials ensuring compliance with vessel specifications, IMO HSC Code, and Class society requirements, aligned with project schedules and budgets.

You will collaborate with design, production, and external stakeholders, communicating clearly in English to coordinate mechanical design

Qualifications

• B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years in marine mechanical design for new ships
• Design skills to meet vessel specifications & rules
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills
• Familiar with classification society and flag rule requirements (DNV/BV & IMO HSC Code preferred)
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good written and spoken English communication
