Job summary

JTI Myanmar is seeking a Junior Maker Operator to join the Production team. You will perform minor troubleshooting on Maker Machines, ensure routine cleaning, and follow brand change procedures to meet set KPIs under supervision.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering and at least 1 year in production with semi-auto machinery, plus basic Burmese and English; you will work with EEHS, 5S3R and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic).
• Minimum 1 year working experience in production with semi-auto machineries.
• Basic mechanical drawing (Read / Write).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot minor issues on Maker Machines under supervision.
• Ensure machine cleanliness and adherence to DDS directions and cleaning checklists.
• Follow brand change procedures and use materials according to product specs under supervision.
• Operate machines to meet set KPIs, deliver quality goods with low rejects and low cost.
• Perform regular quality checks as provided by Quality Department.
• Record downtimes and wastes in GSCA systems with low error margin.
• Participate in EEHS, IWS and 5S3R activities in the plant.

Junior Maker Operator

As the Junior Maker Operator in the area of Production, you will be:

• Responsible to perform minor troubleshooting at assigned Maker Machine to eliminate the minor and regular operational issues with supervision.
• Ensure assigned machine is cleaned in routine as per provided cleaning checklist, DDS directions and deep cleaning activities are to carry out upon completion of production orders with supervisions.
• Responsible to strictly follow the brand change procedures and ensure all the materials are used accurately at the machine according to the product specification with supervisions.
• Responsible to operate machine at set efficiency and deliver finish goods with good quality, low reject and low cost with supervisions to ensure zero out of stock.
• Responsible to perform regular quality checking procedures provided from Quality Department.
• Responsible to fulfil yearly set KPIs related to EEHS, Manufacturing, Production, Engineering and Quality. Example of the KPIs are - OEE, beetle count, quality rating, reject ratio, technical efficiency, MTBF and Zero Out of Stock, etc.
• Responsible to perform shut-down procedures and start-up procedures for long shutdowns by strictly following the provided Check-list & DDS direction from Cell Structure Team CST with supervisions.
• Responsible to record all the machine downtimes inclusive of micro-stoppages and register in the GSCA machinery Downtime Entry with less than 5% of variations and human errors.
• Responsible to record all the wastes generated within the shift and register in the GSCA machinery Reject Entry accurately.
• Participate in the implementation of EEHS projects/activities related to machine, equipment and operation by ensuring required works are being performed according to JTI standards, specifications and meeting local regulation and requirements.
• Participate in IWS related activities as per CST guidance and all BOS.
• Assist in IICI deep cleaning activities, maintenance activities, suggestions and 5S3R activities in the plant.

Requirements:

• Degree or its equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic)
• Minimum 1 year working experience in production with semi-auto machineries
• Make Pack machine operation with set KPIs, IICI (beetle prevention and execution), EEHS, 5S3R. Basic mechanical drawing (Read / Write)
• Proficiency in Burmese & basic English
