Australian Weighing Equipment Pty Ltd (ROHQ) in Manila seeks an IT professional to provide local and international IT support. The role covers AD management, VMware virtualization, Windows Server administration, and network operations, with tasks spanning incident handling and vendor coordination.

The position will be based in Manila and will provide support to AWE (Australian Weighing Equipment Pty. Ltd) Head office in Sydney and other branches in Australia, as well as in Philippine ROHQ. The primary focus is to provide technical support in the area of Network administration, VMware virtualization, IP telephony, business application systems, and other software and hardware infrastructure. Will work with the IT Officer based in Manila and report to the IT Manager based in Australia. The main role will ensure that all systems are maintained, reliable, secure and have efficient IT infrastructure for the overall company operation. Also support and address IT related issues, needs and inquiries of both Manila and Australian users.

The position is a full-time position and your normal weekly schedule shall be from Monday to Friday from 06:30AM to 03:00PM (Philippine Time) and 05:30AM to 02:00PM (Philippine Time) during Daylight Saving Time in the Commonwealth of Australia.

Provide IT support to local and overseas users
Active Directory user management
Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues
Experience with VMware vSphere administration, including installing, configuring, and maintaining VMs and ESXi hosts in a clustered environment
Experience with VMware Connection Server and EUC
Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
Experience with Microsoft Office and on-premises Exchange 2019
Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam or similar
Knowledge of Ventra IP, PBX and SPAMWALL
Knowledge of Linux Server administration is a plus
Experience with Bitdefender Administration
Oversees and maintains the operability of network infrastructure
Provides administrative, maintenance and troubleshooting support for network hardware such as routers, switches and other network devices
Diagnoses and resolves network downtime and connectivity issues
Coordinates and liaises with Internet Service Providers regarding internet connectivity issues at the main office
Experience in handling P1 incidents, outages, and other production-impacting issues
Troubleshooting and resolving IT incidents and outages
Reporting, managing, and resolving potential cyber-attack incidents from a system-related perspective
Coordinates and liaises with third-party suppliers, service providers, and vendors regarding IT-related equipment, software, services, and hardware repairs
Provides remote IT support and troubleshooting, including printer and peripheral support
Experience with IT ticketing and help desk systems
Develops and maintains IT documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the related field is required for this position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests
Strong work ethic, initiative, and troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated and able to work quickly and efficiently without supervision
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Able to travel to Australia for 1-3 months at a time, if required
