Job summary

The Functionary is hiring a Level 1 IT Support Technician for a fully remote role based in the Philippines. You will deliver client IT support via phone and chat, troubleshoot Windows Server, Azure, and AD issues, and maintain documentation and knowledge bases while ensuring professional client communication.

Ideal candidates have strong English skills, experience with virtualization and security basics, and availability for varied shifts. Competitive compensation will be discussed on contact.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on Azure and Office 365 administration.
• Proficient in Active Directory user and group management.
• Familiar with virtualization technologies (VMWare/Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of firewall configurations and network security basics.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and RADIUS.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide IT Support: Offer exceptional IT support via phone and chat to our clients, ensuring quick resolutions and high satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Handle Office issues, Active Directory account unlocks, password resets, and more with expertise.
• Document and Manage: Keep detailed records of all support calls, follow up on tickets, and manage our knowledge base with precision.
• Maintain Documentation: Update and maintain accurate documentation of our clients' technical environments.
• Client Communication: Ensure professional and effective communication to maintain client satisfaction.

Technical Skills You'll Need:

• Windows Server: Strong knowledge of managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments.
• Azure & O365: Hands-on experience with Azure and Office 365.
• Active Directory: Proficient in managing Group Policy and user accounts within Active Directory.
• Virtualization: Experience with VMWare or HyperV is a must.
• Firewalls & Security: Solid understanding of firewall configurations and security devices.
• Network Protocols: In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, and network infrastructure.

Preferred Experience:

• Firewalls & VPN Solutions: Experience with firewalls and VPN configurations is a plus.
• Business-Class Wireless Solutions: Familiarity with enterprise-level wireless networking.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.

Schedule: Full time / Exact schedule to be determined, but requires full availability, including day, night, and weekend shifts (American schedules)
