Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Jr. Data Engineer to join our Applications Development team in a hybrid role requiring three days in the office weekly. You will help design and manage the data platform built on Databricks across regions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop data pipelines, implement ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data quality with unit tests and documentation. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT, 1–3 years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, API data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience in data modeling and database design.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Data Engineer; strong ETL/ELT understanding.
• Experience with API integration and data ingestion from various sources.
• Strong collaboration and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes with unit tests to validate functionality and performance.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Monitor data workflows and pipelines for performance, reliability, and efficiency; implement improvements as needed.
