Job summary

Cooee Inc. Career is seeking a Junior Fire Protection Draftsperson to produce accurate drawings and Revit models for fire protection systems including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, and detection systems.

You will translate concepts and site notes into formal shop drawings, as‑built records, and deliverables for design, quotation, installation, and handover. You will report to the Design/Drafting Lead and collaborate with project managers and the service team.

Qualifications

1–3 years in drafting or building design, or relevant industry background.
Advanced competency in AutoCAD and Revit, with hands‑on modelling of fire protection systems.
Working knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards.
Excellent English communication skills both spoken and written.
Familiarity with Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, and common data environments (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex) is advantageous.
Previous experience drafting fire systems or using design software such as AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, or SprinkCAD is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Drafting fire protection drawings layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, sections, and details per Lead instructions.
Ensure drawings conform to Australian Standards, the NCC, and project requirements.
Prepare block plans for fire indicator panels and hydrant boosters for new installations and updates.
Create as‑built drawings from site notes and feedback for handover manuals.
Assemble submission packages and revise drawings per client/authority feedback
Cross‑check designs against other plans and flag conflicts to the Lead.
