Job summary

Ball Corporation in Sri City, India, seeks a Jr. Engineer - Backend to join the Production team and contribute to safe, quality production in the Sprays and Necker area, driving improvements and participating in TPM and 5S to reduce changeover times.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in FMCG plants; you will work shifts, operate canning lines, monitor quality, and maintain logs and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
• 3 Years Operation / Maintenance experience in medium scale FMCG plant with high-speed packing lines.
• Hands on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, gearboxes, complex assemblies.
• Experience in operation / maintenance of gas-fired equipment – boilers, ovens, and driers.
• Must be able to work shifts and extended hours when required.
• Ability to read, understand and develop engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts periodic cleaning of Spray machines using PPE and procedures.
• Operates Necker machines; maintains ancillaries and related systems.
• Conducts safety checks in Sprays and Neckers within the first two hours of shift and logs findings and actions.
• Updates machine logs and shift handover notes; performs corrective actions with area leader.
• Ensures cans produced meet quality specifications and controls CCP parameters.
• Maintains area housekeeping and ensures proper line clearance after label changes.
• Supports changeover activities with engineering resources and maintains area logs.
