Job summary

Paynamics Technologies Inc. is seeking a Junior Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen our cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP in a hybrid Makati setup. You will monitor threats, assist in deploying security tools, and implement secure access controls and encryption standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and compliance teams, continuous learning, and embedding security into cloud operations with a focus on rapid risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or security operations.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security tools and best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to continuously learn and grow in cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve security across AWS/Azure/GCP cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for threats, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in deploying and managing security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and monitoring systems.
• Help implement secure access controls, RBAC, and encryption standards.
• Respond to alerts and security events, helping mitigate risks quickly.
• Maintain incident response documentation and cloud security diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and security teams to align security strategies.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen the organization’s cloud security posture.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
