Job summary

P and I Claim Management Inc. is seeking a claims analyst to join the team in Manila. You will analyze and evaluate claims using submitted documents to determine validity and responsibility, and prepare detailed reports with settlement recommendations for the Head of Operations.

You will also draft correspondence to obtain necessary documents, coordinate settlements with experts, and participate in meetings with third parties, while collaborating with law firms handling cases.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate in Custom Administration, Law, Political Science, Mass Communications, Education, or any 4-year course.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims.
• Good knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
• Excellent in English, both spoken and written.
• Shows initiative and ability to adapt quickly to different situations.
• Flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

About the role

Reports directly to the Head of Operations. The role involves analyzing and evaluating claims based on relevant documents submitted to determine whether claims are valid and to establish the party liable.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate claims based on relevant documents submitted to determine whether claims are valid and establish the party liable
• Prepare full reports for the Head of Operations based on analysis and evaluation of documents with recommendations on whether claims are for settlement or not
• Prepare correspondences for obtaining relevant shipping and claim documents, negotiating settlements on a W/P basis, and letters of appointment to experts such as lawyers, surveyors, and divers
• Attend meetings with 3rd parties as needed
• Liaise and coordinate with perspective law firms handling cases as needed
• Designate surveyors for new matters and appointments
• Perform other duties as may be required

About you

• Graduate of Custom Administration, Law, Political Science, Masscom, Education, or any other 4 year course
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims
