Job summary

Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a Junior BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making within the company.

You will collaborate with the BI team to implement data pipelines and reports, and you will grow your skills in data warehousing, ETL, and BI tools. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, shows proficiency in at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), understands data modeling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
• Strong understanding of data analysis and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with SQL and data querying.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to BI team in all aspects of development, testing, data validations and implementation of the project.
• Learn and understand Data Warehousing, BI and ETL.
• Gain expertise in BI tools such as IBM Cognos, Power BI and Staq and utilize them on future projects.
• Work with the team in documenting project details, workflows, technical specifications and operational procedures.
• Continually improving coding skills.
