About the role

The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, performing daily bookkeeping activities, reviewing billings and payables, recording accounting transactions, and providing general accounting support to ensure accurate and timely financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day accounting-related transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries and other accounting entries
• Maintain accurate records of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, expenses, cash transactions, and other financial activities
• Review customer billings for accuracy and completeness
• Review supplier invoices, billing statements, and payment requests
• Assist in maintaining accurate customer account records
• Assist in preparing regular bank and account reconciliations
• Assist in preparing and organizing documents required for tax filings
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and documentation skills
• Able to maintain confidentiality of financial information
• At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is an advantage
