Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is seeking a Tool Service & Maintenance Technician to support tool and die service operations in our production environment.

You will operate shop tools and hand tools, read specifications, and design and calculate tools using IT programs. You will construct and repair precision gauges and fixtures, assist in ramp-up for new tools, test systems, and document results in our data systems.

Qualifications

• Overseeing or working in Tool & Die service operations and adhering to internal working rules and guidelines.
• Operating shop machine tools and hand tools (e.g., precision lathes, drills, jig borers, milling machines).
• Reading specifications and using specialized IT programs to design and calculate tools.
• Constructing and repairing tools, gauges, and intricate fixtures with synchronizing parts.
• Assisting in ramp-up procedures for new tools, testing and analyzing dysfunctionalities.
• Documents work and results in the systems.

The Tool Service & Maintenance team provides value add by: Overseeing or working in Tool & Die service operations and adhering to internal working rules and guidelines. Operating all shop machine tools and hand tools (e.g., precision lathes, drills, jig borer, milling machines, etc. ) Reading specifications and using specialized IT programs to design and calculating the tools. Constructing and repairing tools, gauges, intricate fixtures with synchronizing parts, gauges, etc.. Assisting in initial ramp-up procedures for new tools, in testing and analyzing dysfunctionalities. A job at this level: Provides setup and maintenance procedures for an assigned part of production, with a limited number and kind of machines. Supports higher-level technical maintenance and repairs technicians in their work. Follows work instructions, maintenance and repair procedures as given to provide reliable service. Documents work and results in the systems.
