Job summary

Fly Ace Corporation is seeking an Assistant Machine Mechanic to support operation and maintenance of production machines, ensuring safe, efficient performance with minimal downtime.

You will assist in inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, basic repairs, and follow lockout/tagout procedures while keeping maintenance records. A technical/vocational background and at least 1 year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably with a technical/vocational course in Mechanical Technology or Industrial Technology.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in machine maintenance or manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Perform routine checks for unusual sounds, leaks, or worn parts.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedule.
• Assist in dismantling, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly of components.
• Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.

The Assistant Machine Mechanic provides support in the operation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of production machines and equipment. The role assists the Machine Mechanic in ensuring that all machines are operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Machine Mechanic in the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines and equipment.
• Conduct routine checking of machines to identify unusual sounds, vibrations, leaks, loose parts, or other potential problems.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
• Support the repair and replacement of worn-out or defective machine parts.
• Assist in the proper dismantling, cleaning, adjustment, lubrication, and reassembly of machine components.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other maintenance equipment.
• Follow established safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies when performing maintenance work.
• Assist in maintaining records of maintenance activities, machine breakdowns, repairs, and replacement of parts.
• Support emergency or breakdown repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the Machine Mechanic.
