Job summary

Design Staff Australia is seeking a Java Full Stack Engineer to support manufacturing & AI solutions. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, building enterprise apps and AI-driven features that connect equipment, sensors, cameras, and production systems for real-time insights.

You will work in a collaborative environment with a focus on ownership, initiative, and continuous learning as projects evolve with AI-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack Java development.
• Strong experience with Java and frameworks (Spring Boot/JEE).
• Experience with WildFly or Apache Tomcat.
• Frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular or React.
• Experience building REST APIs and working with MySQL.
• Exposure to AWS services and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise auth (OIDC/SSO) and full SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned work and drive tasks to completion.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications.
• Contribute across the full SDLC from design to deployment and support.
• Identify and address technical challenges and raise risks early.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.
