Job summary

Globant in Makati seeks a skilled Java Developer to join our team, focusing on production support and maintenance of backend services built with Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and AWS. This role is not for feature development; you will ensure reliability, performance, and security of critical systems.

You will handle incidents, troubleshooting, releases, and monitoring, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, and align with EST/PST business hours.

Qualifications

• Production support and maintenance of high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and AWS technologies.
• These are NOT feature development positions.
• Performance engineering related tasks (Jmeter + performance analysis).
• Incident management, Troubleshooting, Production support, Release preparation and management, Monitoring, Alerting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Implement scalable, reliable backend systems and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues and provide effective timely solutions.

• Production support and maintenance of high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and AWS technologies.
• These are NOT feature development positions.

• Release support.
• There are some bug fixing implementation tasks, but most of the daily work is related to: Incident management, Troubleshooting, Production support, Release preparation and management, Performance, Monitoring, Alerting, etc

• Implement scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our systems and processes.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, and actively contribute to their professional development.
• Work EST/PST hours.
