Job summary

TAPServices, Inc. in Metro Manila seeks a Java Developer to build, maintain, and optimize enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP web services.

You will troubleshoot issues, collaborate on system integrations, and contribute to technical docs and production support as part of a skilled team.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on Java experience, strong debugging skills, and a solid grasp of OOP, design patterns, and SDLC practices. Local on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/CE or related field.
• At least 2 years experience in Java development.
• Knowledgeable in Java Programming, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Knowledgeable in SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Strong foundation in OOP and Design Patterns.
• Good analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and source control tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based systems.
• Support and maintain legacy Java applications and enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain Spring Boot-based web services and backend apps.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues and defects.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix bugs promptly.
• Propose corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence.

• Develop, maintain, and consume RESTful APIs and SOAP services.

• Prepare technical documentation and assist UAT and production support.

Job Duties：

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance systems built using Java technologies.




2. Support and maintain existing Java legacy applications and enterprise systems.




3. Develop and maintain Spring Boot-based web services and backend applications.




4. Perform root cause analysis on reported issues, incidents, and system defects.




5. Investigate, troubleshoot, and implement bug fixes in a timely manner.




6. Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurring issues.




7. Participate in system integration activities with third‑party systems, hardware devices, POS terminals, and external services.




8. Develop, maintain, and consume RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.




9. Collaborate with team members in designing, testing, deploying, and supporting software solutions.




10. Prepare technical documentation and assist in user acceptance and production support activities.

Job Requirements：

2. Knowledge in concurrent programming, multithreading, and synchronization concepts.




3. Knowledge of system integration and interface development.




4. Experience with Apache Camel, Apache Tomcat Application Server.




5. Experience with Git, Maven, Apache Camel




6. Candidate with AI programming experience.
