Qualifyze is seeking a Backend Engineering Lead to own the backend ecosystem and lead a team across the organization. You will shape architecture, standards, and delivery quality, aligning backend work with product goals while growing engineers and ensuring scalable, maintainable systems.

Working closely with Head of Engineering and chapter leads, you will drive strategic decisions, mentor engineers, and build a strong backend community.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java stack and SpringBoot architecture.
• Proven leadership of backend initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience defining scalable backend architecture and driving adoption.
• Mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Own backend ownership and strategy across teams including architecture and standards.
• Lead backend engineers, drive delivery, and foster growth through coaching and development.
• Ensure backend delivery is scalable, high quality, and aligned with product goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with frontend, data, and platform teams.
• Provide hands-on guidance in critical backend areas and promote best practices.
