Job summary

Taiyo Plastic Corporation of the Phils is seeking a skilled Japanese interpreter and translator to support meetings, conferences, and official events in the Cavite area.

You will review materials, coordinate with global teams, ensure confidentiality, and assist expats with visa processes and accommodation arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Japanese corporate environments, especially manufacturing.
• Proven interpretation and translation experience (1-2 years).
• Excellent listening memory and note-taking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong understanding of business etiquette and cross-cultural communication.
• Computer literate.
• JLPT N1 or N2.
• Fluent in English (Business Level).

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between Japanese and English or Filipino during meetings, conferences, interviews and official events.

• Prepare for assignment by reviewing relevant materials, terminology and background information.
• Collaborate with the teams to clarify technical or industry specific terms.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality in all interpretation sessions.
• Support written translation tasks when needed for reports and correspondences.
• Process visa/working permit applications and preparation of housing for expats.

• 1. Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between Japanese during meeting (Japanese, English or Filipino)during meeting meetings, conferences interviews and official events.
• 2. Ensure accurate and context -sensitive translation preserving tone, intent and cultural nuances.
• 3. Prepare for assignment by reviewing relevant materials, terminology and background information.
• 4.Collaborate with the teams to clarify technical or industry specific terms
• 5. Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality in all interpretations sessions
• 6. Support written translation task when needed reports and correspondences
• 7. Process Visa/working permit application and preparation of house /condo of the expats.

Job Qualifications
