Your Role

The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support and IT operational services for PSC Biotech's global workforce. In addition to supporting the site's infrastructure, hardware, software, and networking requirements, this role will support the deployment, governance, security, and adoption of approved Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools across the organization. The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, documenting maintenance work orders, overseeing technology requirements, supporting AI-enabled workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and data protection requirements. This is a remote role based in the Philippines with a standard working schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Technical Support & Infrastructure Operations

• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for servers, networks, endpoints, applications, and enterprise systems.
• Serve as an escalation resource for IT Technician I and complex support incidents.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support workstations, servers, networking equipment, cameras, UPS systems, and associated hardware.
• Monitor infrastructure health, system availability, and operational performance.
• Coordinate hardware lifecycle management, upgrades, and replacement activities.

Systems Administration

• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Group Policy, and identity management services.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, authentication systems, and access controls.
• Support file systems, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and collaboration technologies.
• Manage backup solutions, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity activities.

Network & Security Management

• Support network infrastructure including switches, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and structured cabling.
• Perform vulnerability remediation, patch management, and endpoint security monitoring.
• Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, and cybersecurity investigations.
• Enforce security baselines and technical controls across IT systems.

Data Privacy, Compliance & Validation

• Support compliance with GDPR, data privacy regulations, and internal information security policies.
• Assist with audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions related to IT systems.
• Maintain documentation required for validated and regulated environments.
• Support change controls, qualification activities, periodic reviews, and validation documentation.
• Ensure IT practices comply with GxP, FDA, and company quality requirements.

AI, Automation & Digital Transformation

• Support the deployment, administration, and adoption of AI-enabled business technologies and productivity platforms.
• Assist in evaluating AI tools for business use while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support enterprise digital transformation initiatives leveraging AI and automation technologies.
• Promote responsible AI usage across the organization.
• Assist in developing and delivering AI training sessions, workshops, and user enablement programs.
• Create and maintain AI user documentation, including prompt libraries, quick-reference guides, workflows, and best-practice materials.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, work instructions, diagrams, and asset inventories.
• Manage IT asset tracking and inventory records.
• Generate reports and dashboards related to infrastructure performance, service metrics, system health, and compliance activities.
• Recommend improvements to systems, processes, and technologies that enhance business operations.

Project Support

• Participate in infrastructure, cloud, and technology implementation projects.
• Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and contractors.
• Support technology deployments, migrations, upgrades, and expansion initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• Proven years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure operations, or a related technical role.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, networking, and endpoint management platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and cloud-based technologies.
• Practical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and information security best practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of GDPR requirements and data protection principles.
• Strong interest and aptitude in Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI platforms preferred.
• Exposure to workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, scripting languages, or similar technologies preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar) preferred.
• Experience supporting validation, change management, and audit activities preferred.
• Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Azure, Security+, AI, or related certifications are preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, Teams, and enterprise collaboration technologies.
• Must be able to work the following schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. EST remotely.
