Job summary

ConnectOS in Mandaluyong seeks an IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure. The role reports to the IT Systems Engineering Lead and demands delivering reliable virtualization, storage, and identity management services.

You will administer Azure/M365 environments, collaborate with third-party providers, and ensure configurations align with IT principles. Immediate start available in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5 years ICT industry experience.
• Experience with Azure, Hyper-V and vSphere.
• Azure and M365 certifications or working towards.
• Experience in supporting enterprise systems.
• Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Tertiary qualification in CS/IT or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of virtualization systems (vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Administer and support enterprise shared systems, including storage and identity management.
• Deploy and manage M365 apps and Azure environments with license compliance.
• Design and maintain IT infrastructure for data centres.
• Create and update documentation, DR plans, and policies.
• Analyze incidents to identify themes and improve service delivery.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure end-to-end support across changes.

We are specifically looking for candidates that can start immediately.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Mega Tower, Mandaluyong

Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00AM - 4:00PM PHT) with on-call requirement

Reporting to the IT Systems Engineering Lead, the IT Systems Engineer is responsible for providing deep technical expertise to implement, operate, support and maintain our operational IT infrastructure. This role is accountable for the delivery of support and issue resolution, as well as liaising with other IT Teams and third-party providers to resolve issues.

Skills Required

• 5 years' experience in the ICT industry
• Experience with maintaining Azure, Hyper-V and vSphere
• Microsoft Azure and M365 Certifications or working towards
• Demonstrated experience in the use of technical resources in the support of enterprise systems
• Demonstrated ability to work within an environment of competing priorities with strict deadlines and the capacity to share knowledge within the team
• Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree.

Nice To Have

What will you do?

• Maintaining and ensuring high availability of enterprise-wide virtualization systems e.g. vSphere, Hyper-V
• Administering, configuring, and supporting of enterprise shared business systems including storage, backups, monitoring, identity management, messaging, etc.
• Deployment, managing and maintaining M365 applications and the Azure environment ensuring adherence to license management
• Effectively design, deploy and maintain infrastructure for our Data Centres.
• Build and keep current, relevant IT infrastructure system documentation, policies and procedures including Disaster Recovery Plan
• Reporting on IT infrastructure operations to allow fine-tuning and optimising of the IT Infrastructure
• Provide internal expertise to the business queries and helpdesk tickets of Systems Engineering related issues, systems, processes and data. Analyse the tickets/incidents raised to identify key themes to educate the
• Service Desk (training or providing documentation) in the respective assigned functional area(s) to increase the number of issues resolved at Service Desk
• Ensure all proposed changes/fixes proposed and implemented by the external support service provider and/or other internal teams are aligned to our IT principles and are sustainable/supportable
• Collaborate with the other IT teams to ensure end-to-end support coverage across all changes, break/fixes and continuous improvement initiative
