Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking a senior data/AI engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and microservices across our hybrid on-site and remote setup.

You will partner with analytics, technology, and business teams to implement robust data models, ensure data quality, and deploy generative AI solutions using LLMs. Strong Python/SQL, AWS, and IaC experience are required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud and data services (Redshift, S3, Lambda).
• Strong understanding of microservices-based systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms.
• AI/ML background with knowledge of LLMs and AI technologies.
• Prompt Engineering experience for AI/LLM use cases.
• Ability to evaluate, validate, and improve LLM outputs for business and technical use cases.

• Collaborate with analytics, technology, and business stakeholders to design data models for BI and reporting.
• Conduct data analysis to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Maintain and improve cloud-based data and analytics infrastructure for scalability, performance, and security.
• Build, deploy, and maintain customer-facing generative AI solutions using LLMs and related technologies.

Job description

Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00AM - 4:00PM PHT)

Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

Office Location: Mega Tower, Mandaluyong

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and SQL.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud and data services, including but not limited to Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, and other relevant AWS technologies.
• Strong understanding of microservices-based systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms.
• AI/ML background with working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies.
• Prompt Engineering experience, including the ability to design, refine, and optimize prompts for AI/LLM use cases.
• Ability to evaluate, validate, and improve LLM outputs for business and technical use cases.

Nice To Have

• Experience working with Databricks and PySpark for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Experience building or supporting AI-powered data solutions, machine learning pipelines, or generative AI applications.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, and AI lifecycle management.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing LLM performance in production environments.
