Job summary

Rising Tide Digital, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a 6-month contractual role in Mandaluyong, Philippines. The position requires managing software development and systems integration projects with cross-functional teams.

You will lead Scrum/Agile efforts, oversee UATs and deployments, and ensure delivery across web, mobile, and enterprise platforms. Hybrid work arrangement applies (2 onsite, 3 WFH). A Bachelor's degree plus PM certifications are preferred.

Location: Philippines – Cybergate, Mandaluyong

Work Schedule: Dayshift – HYBRID (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH)

Type of Employment: Contractual (6 month-initial contract, possible absorption/extension depending on performance)

Salary: 50K - 100K

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification in project management is a plus.

Related Work Experience

• 5+ years of direct experience in IT project management, with a primary focus on managing software development and systems integration projects.




• 3+ years of hands-on experience leading Scrum/Agile teams (e.g., as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager).




• Proven track record of delivering cross-functional software projects across web, mobile, core transactional systems, or enterprise integrations.




• Experience managing cross-functional teams (Developers, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX Designers) within a PMO structure is a plus.




• Demonstrated history of steering projects through complex deployment phases, including UAT, migration, and nationwide or multi-site rollouts.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY

• Software Development Life Cycle & Agile Methodologies – MUST HAVE




• Agile Frameworks: Deep practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid methodologies (e.g., Agile execution with Waterfall milestone reporting).




• SDLC Governance: Solid understanding of software development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, code repository management (Git), release management, and testing frameworks (UAT, automated testing, stress testing).




• Backlog Refinement: Experience translating business requirements into epics, user stories, and actionable task acceptance criteria.

IT Infrastructure & System Architecture Exposure

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on exposure to Hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Core Network concepts, and Platform as a Service (PaaS).




• SaaS & Enterprise Platforms: Experience managing or integrating with enterprise SaaS solutions such as ERP, CRM and ITSM.




• Architecture Concepts: General awareness of microservices, API integrations, and multi-tier transactional vs. reporting system architectures.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Agile Delivery & Project Management

• Tooling Expertise: Proficient with Agile management platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, Asana) and project scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet).




• Agile Ceremonies Facilitation: Ability to run effective Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.




• Metrics & Reporting: Proficient in tracking Agile performance metrics (Sprint Velocity, Burn-down/Burn-up charts, Lead/Cycle Time, Defect Density) to drive continuous team improvement and clear executive reporting.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Ability to bridge communication between business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and branch/operational end-users.




• Impediment Removal: Proactive identification and resolution of technical bottlenecks, dependency conflicts, and resource constraints.




• Scope & Change Control: Skillful in managing scope creep, prioritizing backlog changes with business owners, and evaluating trade-offs between timeline, scope, and quality.

• Risk & Issue Management: Strong analytical ability to perform root-cause analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.




• Quality Focus: Commitment to high software quality standards, ensuring acceptance criteria and "Definition of Done" (DoD) are rigorously met prior to release.

CERTIFICATIONS (Preferred)

• Agile & Scrum Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Agilist.




• Project Management Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Practitioner.




• Training Certifications: PM Fundamentals or Agile/Lean Framework Training Certifications.
