You will gain hands-on experience by maintaining inventory, monitoring system performance, and supporting projects, while learning IT best practices and completing routine maintenance, under guidance of seasoned staff.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in practicum or internship units.
• Basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, and networking.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Support IT team in setting up computers, accounts, and applications for users.
• Help maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation.
• Monitor system performance and report issues.
• Provide basic technical support to employees as needed.
• Learn and apply IT best practices; perform routine maintenance such as updates, patches, and backups.
• Support IT projects like upgrades, migrations, or process improvements.
• Document solutions for common problems for knowledge sharing.
• Observe and shadow IT staff to gain exposure to real-world IT operations.
• Attend meetings or training sessions as required.
