Job summary

ING Hubs Philippines is seeking a mid-level IT Operations Engineer to manage infrastructure, respond to incidents, and drive reliability through automation. You’ll work across enterprise-scale platforms and collaborate with global teams to keep systems secure, available, and resilient.

Responsibilities include managing Linux and Windows environments, virtualization and container platforms, monitoring performance, and automating operational tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining Linux and Windows systems.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware.
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Exposure to cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancing).
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
• Configuration management with Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Monitoring/observability using Grafana/Prometheus/ELK.
• Experience in incident and problem management.

As a mid-level IT Operations Engineer, you will manage infrastructure and operating environments, respond to incidents, and improve system reliability through automation and continuous improvement.

You’ll work across enterprise-scale platforms and collaborate with global teams to ensure our systems remain secure, available, and resilient.

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

• Strong experience managing Linux and Windows systems
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or similar technologies
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, GCP
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, firewalls, and load balancing

Engineering & Operations

• Scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, Go, or similar technologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git
• Configuration management experience using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms including Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK
• Experience in incident and problem management

Essential Requirement

• Experience supporting IT risk controls, audit activities, compliance requirements, or remediation tracking

Nice to Have

• Database knowledge (SQL)
• Experience with disaster recovery and high-availability environments
