Job summary

Brixio Singapore in Alabang, Philippines, is seeking a skilled IT Monitoring Expert (Nagios / SolarWinds) to design, implement, and maintain our monitoring platforms across servers, applications, and networks. You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) to ensure reliable performance and availability of critical systems.

You will configure monitoring solutions, develop alerting strategies, perform performance analysis, and contribute to incident response and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• Experience as Nagios or SolarWinds Monitoring Expert.
• Knowledge of Nagios Core/XI configurations and dashboards.
• Knowledge of SolarWinds NPM/SAM/DPA and modules.
• Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Strong networking and server infrastructure knowledge.
• Scripting for automation and customization.
• Familiar with Linux/Unix systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

PositionObjective/ Job Summary:

We areseeking a highly skilled and experienced monitoring expert responsiblein designing, implementing,

andmaintaining our monitoring system to ensure efficient operation of processes,systems, or projects within

ourorganization. Monitoring Analyst III will also be responsible to analyze data,identifying trends, and

providinginsights to improve performance and mitigate risks and lastly, maintenance ofboth software and

infrastructureto ensure the optimal performance and availability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

Implementationand Configuration:

• o Design,deploy, and configure the monitoring solutions based on organizationalrequirements.
• o Customizeconfigurations to monitor a diverse range of infrastructure components,applications, and services.
• oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate monitoring solutionsseamlessly into existing workflows.

MonitoringInfrastructure Management:

• o Maintainand optimize infrastructure for functionality, stability, scalability andefficiency.
• o Ensure theavailability and reliability of monitoring services, includinghigh-availability setups and disaster recoveryplanning.

Alertingand Notification Setup:

• o Developand implement effective alerting and notification strategies to promptlyidentify and address issues.
• o Fine-tunealert thresholds and escalation procedures to minimize false positives andensure timely response.

PerformanceAnalysis and Tuning:

• o Conductregular performance analysis of monitored systems and applications.
• o Implementtuning measures to enhance monitoring efficiency and reduce resourceutilization.

IncidentResponse and Troubleshooting:

• o Providerapid response to incidents detected by monitoring and collaborate withrelevant teams to resolve issuespromptly.
• o Performroot cause analysis for incidents and contribute to post-incident reports.

Documentation

• o Maintaindocumentation for monitoring systems, including configurations, processes, andbest practices.
• o Providetraining and guidance to team members on the use of monitoring tools andtechniques.
• o Ensureadherence to relevant standards, policies, and regulations related tomonitoring activities.

DataAnalysis and Interpretation

• o Collect,analyze, and interpret data from monitoring systems to identify performanceissues, bottlenecks, or
• o Developmetrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure theeffectiveness of monitored
• o Generatereports and dashboards to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Provenexperience as a Nagios or Solarwinds Monitoring Expert with a strong backgroundin ITinfrastructure& application monitoring.
• In-depthknowledge of Nagios Core and Nagios XI, including configuration, plugins, anddashboards
• or In-depthknowledge of SolarWinds products, including NPM, SAM, DPA, and additionalmodules.
• Proficientin scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, Python, or Perl for customplugindevelopment.
• Strongunderstanding of networking concepts, server infrastructure, and applicationarchitecture.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation andcustomization of SolarWinds
• solutions.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts.
• Strongproblem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellentcommunication and collaboration abilities.
