Job summary

GCash is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance professional in the Philippines to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met across IT operations and infrastructure, from servers to networks and databases.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and Tech & Ops units to update policies and manuals, respond to audit requests, address findings, and stay ahead of emerging IT risk practices to protect one of the country’s leading fintech platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field.
• Strong knowledge of financial industry processes and regulatory standards.
• Experience in infrastructure areas (server, network, database, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and updates policies and practices to address risk.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to update Policy, Procedure and Manuals to regulatory standards.
• Liaises with Tech&Ops Units and business teams to respond to internal and external audit requests.
• Serves as central point of contact on audit, risk and compliance exercises.
• Reviews audit findings with Tech&Ops Units and suggests actions to address them.
• Tracks and monitors resolution of findings across units.
• Stays up to date with IT risk and industry best practices for proactive risk management.

Job Description

• Performs governance review checkpoints to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Interprets regulations affecting control standards and suggest methods of updating policies and practices that addresses any risk concern so as to maintain IT and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure regular updating of Policy, Procedure and Manuals and align them with regulatory standards.
• Liaise with different Tech&Ops Units and business teams, as necessary, to provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external audit requests related activities.
• Central point of contact on all audit, risk and compliance exercises.
• Reviews the audit findings together with the Tech&Ops Units and provides suggestions and recommendations to address the findings.
• Track and monitor the resolution of findings of the Tech&Ops Units.
• Stay up to date with emerging IT risk and industry best practices to ensure proactive risk management.
