Qualifications

• The candidate has at least 5 years of managerial IT and cybersecurity experience.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, or ITIL are preferred.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT & Security Manager to lead IT infrastructure operations, cybersecurity governance, and enterprise systems management within a growing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of IT systems while driving cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day IT operations, manage a technical team, and ensure that systems, identity management, and security frameworks support business continuity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

IT Leadership & Team Management

The IT & Security Manager will lead, mentor, and develop the IT and security team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role includes setting performance goals, conducting regular reviews, and supporting team capability development.

IT Infrastructure & Operations

The role oversees the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems including networks, servers, endpoints, and business applications. The successful candidate will ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable, while managing updates, patches, and operational support to minimize downtime and disruptions. The role also includes proactive monitoring of system performance and rapid resolution of technical issues.

Google Workspace Administration (CORE REQUIREMENT)

The IT & Security Manager will serve as the primary administrator of Google Workspace across a multi-department environment. This includes full ownership of:

• User lifecycle management (onboarding, offboarding, role changes)


• Security groups and access control policies


• Shared drives and data governance structures


• Third-party SaaS integrations


• Day-to-day administration and troubleshooting


• Security configuration and compliance enforcement within Google Workspace

This is a core operational requirement of the role and central to IT service delivery.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to protect organizational systems and data. This includes conducting security assessments, managing incident response processes, and leading security awareness initiatives. The IT & Security Manager will also identify risks through audits and monitoring activities and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

The role ensures compliance with relevant IT policies, industry standards, and data protection regulations. This includes maintaining documentation of security controls, audit results, and corrective actions, as well as supporting internal and external audits to ensure regulatory adherence.

Strategic Collaboration & Business Support

The IT & Security Manager will act as a strategic partner to business teams, ensuring IT capabilities align with operational needs and organizational goals. This includes supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, managing access provisioning, and coordinating with HR and other departments to ensure secure and efficient system access and transitions.

Qualifications & Experience

• The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of managerial experience in IT and cybersecurity roles, with strong hands-on expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and security operations.


• Candidates must have strong, hands-on experience administering Google Workspace in a multi-department business environment, including user lifecycle management, security controls, access governance, and SaaS integration management.


• Strong technical knowledge of PC hardware, software systems, networking, and internet security is required, along with experience supporting remote and distributed work environments.


• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, or ITIL are highly preferred.


• The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
