Job summary

BHP Group is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the Inventory team for a 12-month fixed-term/secondment. The role focuses on executing inventory management processes, optimizing stock levels, and delivering exceptional service to mine sites and internal customers.

You will work with IBM MRO software, engage with cross-functional teams, and contribute to KPI delivery while upholding BHP values and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and / or similar qualification in a commercial, business, supply chain and/or technical discipline.
• Open, engaging, and a team player with an ability to build long term relationships.
• Comprehensive analytical and problem solving capabilities with recommendations for improvement.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous and dynamic environments.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated competence to prioritise and organise workload within deadlines.
• Capability to support Supply Leaders to deliver upon department KPIs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Execute Inventory Management processes in a timely and effective manner.
• Conform to the BHP Charter and relevant obligations.
• Collaborate with Inventory and other colleagues to optimize inventory strategy.
• Provide world class customer service with mine site personnel and internal customers.
• Deliver the right part, to the right place at the right time.
• Optimise stock levels using IBM MRO (IQ) software (training provided).
• Produce recommendations for slow moving/obsolete inventory.
• Improve parts availability by processing maintenance requests to stock parts.
• Support KPI delivery and continuous procedure improvement.
