Job summary

BHP is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the Inventory team in Manila. The role focuses on executing inventory management processes, ensuring policy conformance and delivering excellent service to mine site personnel and internal customers.

Key responsibilities include optimizing stock levels, analyzing inventory through IBM MRO (IQ) software (training provided), and providing recommendations to reduce working capital while supporting KPIs and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a commercial, business, supply chain or technical discipline.
• Open, engaging, and a team player with ability to build long-term relationships.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to recommend improvements.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous and dynamic environments.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload within deadlines.
• Capability to support Supply Leaders to deliver department KPIs.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and statutory obligations.
• An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
• Collaborate with Inventory and other colleagues to optimize and deliver sustainable inventory strategy management, and regional stakeholder engagement.
• Provide world class customer service by working collaboratively with mine site personnel and internal customers.
• Deliver the right part, to the right place at the right time.
• Optimise stock levels by conducting analysis through IBM MRO (IQ) software (training provided).
• Produce recommendations for slow moving/obsolete inventory to assist in reducing working capital.
• Improve parts availability by processing maintenance requests to stock parts and reviewing parts which missed work orders.
• Understand the company's inventory situation and making suggestions to improve it by balancing business value vs. risk to deliver great outcomes.
• Participate and support activities such that Logistics meets the Business Plan, Department and Global KPIs are met.
• Assist the Lead Inventory Analysis in resolving complex issues, review of work allocation, and any associated activities to manage team’s performance.
• Assist the Lead Inventory Analysis to continuously update and improve procedures and Quick Reference Guides (QRG) documentation for the Team.
