Job summary

RGP is seeking an Inventory Accounting Team Lead in the Philippines (Taguig/BGC) for a hybrid role with 2-3 onsite days per week. The role oversees inventory valuation, reconciliations, cost analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, internal controls, and leadership is required. Responsibilities include ensuring timely closes, balance sheet reconciliations, and acting as a trusted business partner to cross-functional

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Inventory Accounting Team Lead will oversee inventory accounting functions including inventory valuation, reconciliations, cost analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The role requires strong knowledge of general accounting principles, inventory processes, and internal controls, while leading the team and driving process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and follow guidelines.

2. Maintain Operational Excellence

• Responsible for executing accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process area.
• Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
• Driving deep expertise, ensuring team are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
• Operational Lead of Accounting team. No direct reporting lines.
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
• Understand, adhere, and execute per worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve adequate internal and external audit ratings.

3. Talent Management

• Attract, develop, and retain a highly competent, high-performing, motivated and diverse Credo-based team.
• Develop succession plans for and support career development of the team.
• Ensure effective performance management within team.

4. Be a Trusted Business Partner

• Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy.
• Internally recruit, mentor, and drive the individual Process SMEs to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.
• If assigned a role of Operational Key Contact (OKC) then candidates will be the key liaison point within their Process for a defined Region & Sector with BUF and CFMs, answering queries, coordinating with SMEs/analysts on process and operational matters, resolving issues and updating partners on close status.
• If assigned a role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) then candidates will be responsible to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.

5. Create Game-Changing Innovation

• Generate ideas, fosters, and implements continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities.
• Influence and Execute process improvements, generating ideas and implementing in line with global standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience in Inventory Accountingis required.
• Experience in people managementis required. Must have at least 2 years of experience in a Supervisory role.
• Preferably with experience working in a Shared Services environment.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
