Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to design, evolve and scale cloud-native and AI-driven platforms. You will own architecture decisions, collaborate with product and AI teams, and push cloud platforms to the next level.

You will lead cloud architectures on Azure, ensure technical quality of proposals, and mentor engineers within the Chapter. Strong English and hands-on Azure expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing cloud architectures in production.
• Proven ability to own architecture decisions at scale.
• Experience delivering Azure-based IaaS/PaaS and serverless solutions.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and governance in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Experience with AI/ML or LLM platforms in production contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead cloud architectures on Azure, including networking and security.

You will be responsible for:

• Design and lead cloud architectures on Azure, covering networking, security, governance, IaaS, PaaS and serverless solutions.
• Ensure the technical quality of proposals, RFP responses and solution definitions within the discipline.
• Own the shared knowledge strategy of the Chapters, ensuring relevant content, documentation and best practices are available.
• Lead the mentoring framework within the Chapter, enabling senior engineers to guide practitioners at all levels.
• Helps to identify strong technical talent across the company that aligns with the discipline.
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities, validating new services, accelerators and reusable assets.
• Own the infrastructure of AI‑powered platforms, including conversational AI systems with: Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), Document ingestion, processing and vector search and Integration with LLM providers and AI services.
• Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure, following DevSecOps best practices.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) with a strong focus on reusability, scalability and maintainability.
• Design and operate production‑grade environments, ensuring: High availability and performance, monitoring, logging and observability and cost optimization and reliability
• Collaborate closely with AI, data and software teams to productionize ML/LLM solutions (MLOps mindset). Actively propose improvements and new technical approaches, contributing to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
• Work in Agile, autonomous, multidisciplinary teams, with real ownership from design to production.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure in real production environments.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in Cloud / Platform Engineering roles.
• Ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and design technical proposals tailored to business goals.
• Experience in technical presales, including demos, solutioning, and proposal writing.
• Capable of leading projects independently and mentoring other engineers.
• Proven experience designing and implementing IaaS, PaaS and cloud‑native architectures.
• Solid knowledge of networking, security and governance models in cloud environments.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines) or similar and CI/CD practices.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience monitoring and operating high‑traffic, production web platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML or LLM‑based platforms in production environments.
• Comfortable working with Agile methodologies, Jira and Confluence.
• Fluent English (mandatory) — you’ll work daily with international teams and clients.

Very nice to have:

• Experience in hybrid and multi‑cloud environments (AWS / GCP).
• Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• MLOps practices (model lifecycle, deployment, monitoring, retraining).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
