Job summary

INGCO TRADERS INC seeks an Internal Auditor to strengthen internal controls across the Visayas region. Based in INGCO Mandaue, Cebu, this field‑based role requires frequent travel to branches and locations. You will perform audits, verify inventories, review transactions, and report findings to management.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or related field and strong auditing and data analysis skills, with the ability to work independently and start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, Internal Auditing, Business Administration, or a related course.
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Experience with field audits, inventory verification, and operational/compliance audits.
• Ability to review financial records, inventory transactions, and supporting documents.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools for audit documentation.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
• Strong communication and coordination with branch personnel and departments.
• Integrity, professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently for field audits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal, field, operational, inventory, and compliance audits at assigned branches and locations.
• Perform physical inspections and inventory verification to validate stocks against records.
• Review financial, sales, inventory, and operational transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Examine documents and processes to identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, and risks.
• Evaluate compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Investigate inventory variances and audit findings.
• Prepare audit working papers, findings, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with branch personnel, warehouse teams, and departments during audits.
• Discuss concerns and obtain explanations with documentation as needed.
• Monitor corrective actions and follow up on prior findings.
• Submit timely audit reports to management and perform other audit duties as assigned.

About the role

As an Internal Auditor, you will help strengthen internal controls, improve business processes, and protect the accuracy and integrity of company operations across the Visayas Region. Based at INGCO Mandaue, Cebu, this field-based role will involve frequent travel to branches and operational locations throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal, field, operational, inventory, and compliance audits at assigned branches and operational locations.
• Perform physical inspections and inventory verification to validate actual stocks against system and company records.
• Review financial, sales, inventory, and operational transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Examine supporting documents, records, and processes to identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, process gaps, and operational risks.
• Evaluate compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
• Investigate inventory variances, unusual transactions, and other audit findings.
• Prepare audit working papers, findings, reports, and practical recommendations.
• Coordinate with branch personnel, warehouse teams, and department representatives during audit activities.
• Discuss identified concerns and obtain explanations and supporting documentation when required.
• Monitor corrective actions and follow up on previously reported audit findings.
• Recommend improvements that strengthen internal controls and business processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and properly handle audit records and sensitive company information.
• Submit timely audit reports and findings to management.
• Perform other internal audit, field audit, inventory verification, and compliance-related duties assigned by management.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, Internal Auditing, Business Administration, or a related course.
• Relevant experience in internal audit, field audit, operational audit, inventory audit, or compliance audit.
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Experience conducting field audits, branch inspections, inventory verification, and operational reviews.
• Ability to review and validate financial records, inventory transactions, sales reports, and supporting documents.
• Knowledge of physical inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory validation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools used for data analysis and audit documentation.
• Strong analytical, numerical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
• Strong communication and coordination skills when working with branch personnel, warehouse teams, and different departments.
• Integrity, professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality when handling audit information.
• Ability to work independently and manage audit schedules and deadlines.
• Willingness to conduct frequent fieldwork and travel to branches and locations throughout the Visayas Region.
• Willingness to be based at INGCO Mandaue, Cebu.
• Availability to start as soon as possible.
