Job summary

UL Solutions Philippines seeks a motivated Applied AI Intern to bridge AI research and practical deployment. You will help develop machine learning models to identify bottlenecks, automate tasks, and improve overall business processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain hands-on experience with Microsoft AI Foundry, and contribute to real-world projects in a global safety-focused company. This internship emphasizes growth, mentorship, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS, AI/ML, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or coursework in prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio and GitHub for basic development workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft AI Foundry is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Excel).
• Understanding of process mapping or Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills; adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and connect AI models to existing software applications (if applicable)
• Maintain clear documentation of AI experiments and process improvement results.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
