COLUMBIA INT’L FOOD PRODUCTS, INC. is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation engineer in the Philippines to advance control systems across multiple projects.

You will engage in PLC-focused development, perform engineering analyses, and review instrumentation and control designs to ensure reliability and safety. The role requires a background in electrical/electronics and instrumentation disciplines with practical experience in design reviews, data sheet preparation, and bid evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• Thorough engineering practices, calculation methods and design details.
• 2–3 years of relevant working experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Conduct engineering project analyses including preliminary design and calculations.
• Review design packages for instrumentation and control including PLC, building management, HVAC components.
• Ensure conformance with codes and engineering standards.
• Perform analytical reviews of major control and monitoring equipment selected in designs.
• Write technical reports and propose solutions for complex problems.
• Inspect installation quality and raise non-compliance observations.
• Prepare instrument data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations.
• Prepare cable scheduling and routing.
• Deliver instrumentation and control deliverables.

Job description

Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess at least Bachelors/College Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation and Control Engineering
• Must have thorough knowledge in engineering practices, calculation methods and design details
• At least 2-3 years relevant working experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop skills in specific control discipline such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Develop engineering projects analysis including preliminary design, calculation,
• Reviews design packages for instrumentation and control, programmable logic controllers (PLC), building management, fire protection and suppression, variable speed control associated with HVAC, rotating and electrical equipment, bill of materials and cost estimates.
• Review designs development for conformance with applicable codes, utilizing engineering standards along with good engineering practices
• Carries out full analytical analysis of major control and monitoring equipment selected in design packages to ensure they meet the operation and maintenance requirements
• Writes technical reports and provides solutions for complex technical problems
• Inspects for correct quality of installation and raise observation reports for non compliance
• Prepare instrument data sheets, request for quotations and technical bid evaluations
• Prepare cable scheduling and routing
