Job summary

BMG Outsourcing Inc. is seeking a highly analytical Business Analyst – Reporting & Data Analytics to support data-driven decision-making across Finance, Sales, and Operations.

The role entails collecting, validating, analyzing, and interpreting data to generate insights, develop management reporting, and drive business performance. Responsibilities include building dashboards with Power BI, Excel, and other BI tools, conducting variance analyses, and presenting findings to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline
• 2–5 years' experience in Business Analysis, Reporting, Financial Analysis, or Data Analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups, and data modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Close attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management reports.
• Analyze business performance across Finance, Sales, Operations, and other business functions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI reports using Power BI, Excel, or similar BI tools.
• Provide insightful commentary highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities, and business performance drivers.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Collect and consolidate data from multiple business systems and data sources.
• Validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Clean, transform, and structure datasets for reporting and analysis.
• Maintain reporting databases, documentation, and reporting frameworks.
• Drive improvements in data quality, governance, and reporting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Analyze revenue, costs, profitability, margins, and financial performance metrics.
• Monitor financial KPIs and prepare performance reporting.
• Assist with month-end and management reporting activities.
• Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Analyze sales performance by customer, product, service, region, and salesperson.
• Monitor sales trends, customer behavior, and growth opportunities.
• Support pricing, margin, and profitability analysis.
• Assist with customer and product profitability reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
• Recommend process improvements based on data insights and analysis.
• Participate in business improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Enhance reporting efficiency through automation and business intelligence tools.
• Respond to reporting and analytical requests from management teams.
• Communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively across departments to support business objectives.
• Ensure reporting deliverables are accurate, insightful, and delivered on time.
