Job summary

Shearwater Health is seeking an Inpatient Quality Analyst to join our team in a full-time remote role. As a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder you will ensure accurate and compliant inpatient coding for our clients, using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.

You will review medical records, collaborate with clinicians to clarify documentation, and support audits with a focus on accuracy and process improvement. A BS Nursing degree with an active PRC license and CPC/CCS/CIC/COC certification, plus 2 years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with an active PRC license.
• Active CPC/CCS/CIC/COC certification required.
• Minimum 2 years inpatient coding experience and 2 years as Auditor/QA in inpatient coding.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Review medical documentation to identify correct diagnostic and procedural codes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
