Coronis Health Philippines seeks a Medical Coder under the supervision of the Operations Manager to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes and to input data into the facility system. The role covers inpatient, outpatient, or physician coding as required by business needs.

You will review documentation, ensure coding accuracy, assign POA, DRG, and adhere to CMS/state guidelines, while maintaining data confidentiality and meeting quality/productivity targets.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Records or allied field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hard coding experience with live client accounts.
• AAPC CPC/CIC or AHIMA CCS/CCA certifications preferred.
• Adherence to CMS and state guidelines and coding clinics.

Responsabilidades

• Abstracts and codes medical records for inpatient and day surgeries.
• Determines principal and secondary diagnoses and comorbidities.
• Assigns POA values for inpatient diagnoses.
• Assigns correct DRG and supports coding compliance reviews.
• Writes compliant documentation queries for coding improvement.
• Enters codes into encoder and abstracting systems.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
