Job summary

JGM PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to lead the full lifecycle of mechanical component and system design, from concept to production.

You'll use CAD tools to create 2D/3D models, perform analyses, select materials, and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct design reviews, and maintain thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and FEA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems from concept to production.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D models and engineering drawings, ensuring adherence to industry standards, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Perform calculations and simulations to analyze stress, deformation, thermal characteristics, and fluid dynamics.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements and cost considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers.
• Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine designs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, test procedures, and design change requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping, testing, and production.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and engineering.
