Job summary

A leading data solutions provider in Cebu City seeks a Data Engineer responsible for production support of a P&C Insurance application and various processing tasks. Candidates should have programming skills in RPG/LE and COBOL/ILE, alongside database knowledge in SQL and DB2. Flexibility in work schedule is required, especially during quarter close periods.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of RPG/LE, COBOL/ILE, and CL/ILE programming.
• Database knowledge in SQL and/or DB2.
• Experience in navigating AS400 system command line is a plus.
• Experience with Selenium is also nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Support production of P&C Insurance application.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly processing.
• Develop processes to update AS400 data files.
• Create processes for data extracts and reporting.

Job Summary

Data Engineer will be responsible for production support of a P&C Insurance application (WINS) as well as ad hoc, weekly, monthly and quarterly processing. This person should be able to deliver in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Support in-house Cobol, RPG and SQL Queries
• Support Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Processing
• Develop in-house processes to update the different AS400 data files
• Develop in-house processes for data calls for both extracts and reporting

Required Skills

• Programming Skills: working knowledge of RPG/LE, COBOL/ILE, CL/ILE
• Database knowledge: SQL and/or DB2
• Nice to have: Any AS400 System Experience specifically navigation from the command line
• Nice to have : Experience in Selenium

Flexibility in work schedule and ability to work weekends during Quarter Close. Overtime will be granted for weekend work.
