Job summary

IBM Philippines seeks an Infrastructure Specialist to design and deploy containerized applications on AWS, working with architects to choose tools for performance and quality. You will provision AWS infrastructure, manage hybrid cloud environments, and monitor SLA and health while contributing to CI/CD pipelines across projects.

Shifts may be required, and roles will be based in Quezon City or Cebu, with strong emphasis on collaboration and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• AWS Administration Certification with IaC provisioning experience.
• Experience designing and deploying containerized apps on AWS.
• Kubernetes, Docker and CRIO expertise for lifecycle management.
• Hybrid cloud administration including HA/DR and Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and toolchains.
• Willing to shift work as required and work in Quezon City or Cebu.
• JLPT N1–N5 certification.

Your Role And ResponsibilitiesAs an Infrastructure Specialist: AWS DevOps, you will design and deploy containerized applications on AWS, leveraging expertise in AWS Component services for Compute, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring. You will collaborate with Application Architects to identify suitable tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage measurement. Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Design and Deploy Applications: Design and deploy containerized applications on AWS, utilizing knowledge of AWS Component services for Compute, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring to ensure seamless integration with DevOps toolchains.
• Provision AWS Infrastructure: Provision AWS infrastructure, considering cloud-native architecture and deployment models, to ensure seamless integration with DevOps toolchains.
• Administer Hybrid Cloud Environments: Apply knowledge of Storage, Compute, and Security Services to administer hybrid cloud environments, configure HA/DR, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Monitor SLA and Services Health: Monitor SLA, services health, and key metrics, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate on CI/CD Pipelines: Collaborate with Application Architects to define quality gates in CI/CD pipelines and identify suitable tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage measurement.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Certification in AWS Administration: Certified in AWS Administration, with a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code provisioning and sandbox environment creation.
• Experience with Containerized Applications: Experienced in designing and deploying containerized applications on AWS, leveraging expertise in AWS Component services for Compute, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker: Utilizes expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO to manage application lifecycles, deployed clusters, and orchestration best practices.
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud Environments: Applies knowledge of Storage, Compute, and Security Services to administer hybrid cloud environments, configure HA/DR, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines: Experienced in monitoring SLA, services health, and key metrics, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be open to working on a client-dictated shift (day, mid, or night).
• Must be open to working in IBM locations (Quezon City or Cebu).

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Familiarity with Cloud-Native Architecture: Exposure to cloud-native architecture and deployment models, with an understanding of how to provision AWS infrastructure for seamless integration with DevOps toolchains.
• Knowledge of Orchestration Best Practices: Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO to manage application lifecycles, deployed clusters, and orchestration best practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD Tools: Exposure to identifying suitable tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage measurement, with the ability to define quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
