Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation and software engineering, with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a solid programming background and experience developing and supporting cloud-based solutions. They will have experience using AI technologies as part of the software development lifecycle and delivered solutions. Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders, you will help design, build and maintain scalable, secure and reliable infrastructure platforms.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain AWS-based infrastructure solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted development practices and support the integration of AI capabilities into cloud-based solutions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and Terraform.
- Build scalable applications, tools and services using technologies such as Python, React.js and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Support the continuous improvement of cloud platforms by identifying opportunities to enhance performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Research and stay up to date with developments in cloud computing, distributed systems and generative AI technologies.
- Contribute to solution design discussions and provide input into technical decisions and standards.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues across cloud environments, working with colleagues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Share knowledge, contribute to engineering best practices and support less experienced team members where appropriate.
- Follow established SDLC, security and AI governance frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience / Competences
Essential
- Strong experience with AWS services, cloud infrastructure and automation.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications and services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies, including Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
- Experience working with AI technologies and services such as Amazon Bedrock.
- Experience with modern software engineering practices, including test-driven development, CI/CD and source control.
- Strong hands‑on experience with programming languages such as Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Understanding of cloud security, resilience and operational best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.
Desired
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality assurance practices.
- Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications and data sources.
- Hands‑on experience with observability and monitoring tools.
