Job summary

Helix Mining and Development Corporation is seeking a maintenance professional to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, instrumentation and automation systems, ensuring safe operations and rapid fault resolution. The role involves modifying and improving equipment and assisting third-party commissioning where required.

The ideal candidate will diagnose faults, implement appropriate actions for alarms, and contribute to commissioning activities for newly installed devices.

Responsibilities

• Safely conduct preventive maintenance to prevent unplanned shutdown.
• Perform corrective maintenance on electrical, instrumentation and automation systems and its auxiliary components.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical equipment and instruments; interpret and implement appropriate action for faults and alarms.
• Modify and implement improvements; commission newly installed equipment and assist third-party commissioning.

Job description

Key Accountabilities

• Safely conduct preventive maintenance to prevent unplanned shutdown
  • Conduct of routine inspection, monitoring and recording
  • Testing of equipment activities
  • Inspection and diagnostic checking of electrical parameters
• Perform corrective maintenance activities on electrical, instrumentation and automation systems and its auxiliary components
  • Repair and replacement of damaged parts and equipment which includes cabling and piping
  • Configuration and parameterization of electrical instrumentation and automation drives
  • Immediate identification of fault cause and problems to avoid prolonged electrical shutdown
• Evaluation and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instruments
  • Interpret and implement appropriate action for machine faults and alarms
• Modification and implementation of improvement
  • Commission of newly installed equipment and electrical, instrumentation and automation devices. Including assistance of commissioning to be conducted by the third-party
