Job summary

Far East Union Investment & Development Inc. in Makati seeks a competent Legal Counsel to support all company operations, ensuring compliance, managing corporate matters, mitigating risks, and delivering strategic legal advice.

The role requires drafting and negotiating contracts, handling corporate housekeeping, representing the company in proceedings, coordinating with external counsel for disputes, and advising on employment and regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• Must hold LL.B. or JD (or equivalent).
• Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.
• 3+ years in corporate law, preferably in-house or law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory laws.
• Experience in contract management, compliance, and governance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts and other legal documents.
• Manage corporate housekeeping and regulatory compliance.
• Represent the Company in legal proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
• Coordinate with external counsel on litigation and disputes.
• Conduct legal research and advise on legal risks and business decisions.
• Review and advise on employment-related matters and company policies.
• Identify legal risks and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Keep management informed of changes in laws and regulations.
