Job summary

Greenstrides Pte Ltd, Singapore, is seeking an Implementation Engineer to translate energy‑efficiency innovations into real customer savings. You will start hands-on at customer sites, learning the ground reality and building repeatable deployment processes.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Implementation Engineer who wants to build more than an engineering career. As an early technical hire, you will help translate innovative energy-efficiency technologies into real, measurable energy and carbon savings at customer sites.

This role is designed to evolve. You will start hands-on, learn the ground reality deeply, turn that experience into repeatable systems, train others, and progressively grow into a managerial role capable of building and leading implementation teams across regions.

During the initial years, this will be a deliberately hands-on role. Before you can build an implementation organisation, you need to understand implementation yourself.

That means being at customer sites, understanding panels, wiring, controls and equipment, working alongside technicians and contractors, commissioning systems, troubleshooting problems and discovering the practical issues that only become visible during real-world implementation.

Because many customers - particularly restaurants, hotels and commercial facilities - cannot interrupt operations during normal business hours, a meaningful portion of installations may take place at night or outside normal working hours. Candidates should be comfortable with nighttime installations, particularly during the initial years.

The purpose is not for this to remain a permanent night-installation role. The objective is to build enough field depth to identify the kinks, failure points and unnecessary complexity in implementation - and then engineer them out.

From Engineer to Manager

The longer-term objective is for the Implementation Engineer to move from personally executing and supervising implementations to building the capability for others to deliver them successfully.

As you gain experience, you will be expected to standardise and simplify Greenstrides' implementation model so that trained Implementation Executives, contractors and local technical partners can deploy solutions reliably across multiple markets, with senior engineering expertise providing oversight and escalation support.

What You Will Do

Site Assessment & Engineering

• Conduct technical site surveys at restaurants, hotels, commercial buildings and other customer facilities.
• Understand existing electrical, refrigeration, ventilation, HVAC and control-system configurations.
• Collect equipment specifications, electrical measurements, operating parameters and site data.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, control schematics and equipment documentation.
• Identify suitable Greenstrides technologies and develop scopes of work and implementation requirements.

Solution Implementation

• Translate site assessments into practical implementation plans.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, electricians, technicians and technology partners.
• Supervise installation and integration of Greenstrides technologies.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, handover and technical documentation.
• Work hands-on alongside installation teams when required, including nighttime or off-hours work during the initial years.

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor equipment and system performance after implementation.
• Analyse energy-consumption and operating data.
• Identify abnormal performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Coordinate corrective actions with contractors and technology partners.
• Support measurement and verification of energy savings.

Technology Transfer & Process Building

• Participate in technical training and knowledge-transfer sessions with global technology partners.
• Develop expertise across multiple energy-efficiency technologies.
• Convert partner knowledge and field experience into practical deployment procedures.
• Build Greenstrides' internal engineering standards, checklists, training materials and troubleshooting guides.
• Continuously improve implementation so it becomes simpler, safer, faster and more scalable.

What Success Could Look Like

Phase 1 - Master the Ground Reality

Work hands-on alongside contractors and technology partners. Participate in site surveys, installations, commissioning and troubleshooting - including nighttime installations where customer operations require them. Build practical judgement by seeing what actually happens in the field.

Phase 2 - Build the Playbook

Turn field experience into repeatable processes. Standardise how Greenstrides scopes, installs, commissions, monitors and supports its technologies. Identify recurring problems and systematically remove them.

Phase 3 - Build the Team

Train and supervise Implementation Executives, contractors and technical partners. Move progressively from personally executing installations to technical oversight, quality assurance and escalation support.

Phase 4 - Scale Across Markets

Take increasing responsibility for developing implementation capabilities across Singapore, ASEAN and Australia - building local teams, developing implementation leaders and ensuring consistent technical quality across markets.

Who We Are Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services, Energy Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Some practical engineering experience is preferred, but learning attitude, ownership and trajectory matter just as much.
• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, motors, VFDs, control panels, HVAC, refrigeration or building systems is advantageous.
• Comfortable working at customer sites and understanding how equipment actually operates.
• Curious, resourceful and able to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
• Comfortable analysing technical and energy data.
• Clear communicator with customers, contractors and technical partners.
• Willing to work hard and get hands-on, especially during the company's early growth phase.
• Comfortable with nighttime and off-hours installations when customer operations require them.
• Able to turn technical learning into repeatable processes that less-specialised implementation teams can execute.
• Interested in developing from an individual technical contributor into a manager who can build, train and lead teams across regions.
• Genuinely excited about sustainability and measurable environmental impact.
