Job summary

KWA Analytics is seeking an Implementation consultant - Payments to lead onboarding of client banking relationships, combining project management, client engagement, and hands-on technical deployment.

You will own multiple bank onboarding projects from kickoff through production go-live, coordinating with clients, banks, and engineering and QA teams to ensure successful connectivity, testing, and go-live. This role requires strong communication and fintech experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in fintech, payments, treasury, banking operations, ERP implementations, or technical onboarding roles.
• Strong understanding of payment processes and banking integrations.
• Experience with ISO 20022 messages (pain.001, pain.002, CAMT).
• Familiarity with secure file transfer technologies (SFTP, PGP/GPG, SSH).
• Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proven track record overseeing client-facing implementations or technical onboarding.

Job description

We are looking for an Implementation consultant- Payments to lead and manage the onboarding of client banking relationships. This role combines project management, client engagement, and hands-on technical implementation. You will own multiple bank onboarding projects from kickoff through production go-live, acting as the primary point of contact between clients, banks, and engineering and QA teams.

You will play a critical role in ensuring successful bank connectivity, payment file certification, testing, and deployment while helping improve and accelerate onboarding timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Bank Onboarding & Project Management

• Own end-to-end bank onboarding projects from scoping through production launch.
• Coordinate activities across clients, banking partners, and internal teams.
• Drive project timelines, track milestones, manage dependencies, and elevate blockers.
• Lead onboarding and discovery calls with clients and bank implementation teams.
• Manage multiple concurrent onboarding projects at different implementation stages.

Bank Integration & Technical Setup

• Gather and review bank onboarding requirements and technical documentation.
• Analyze ISO 20022 implementation guides and payment file specifications.
• Work with banking partners to define payment file formats and connectivity requirements. Coordinate SFTP setup, SSH key exchange, and PGP encryption activities for UAT and production environments.
• Partner with engineering teams to configure payment templates and bank connectivity.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing, bank certification, production cutover, and go-live activities across clients, banking partners, QA, and engineering teams.
• Manage testing trackers, validate payment and reporting files, troubleshoot issues, and secure formal bank approval for production deployment.
• Execute and validate production connectivity, penny tests, reporting file delivery, and reconciliation processes to ensure successful onboarding.
• Complete project documentation and transition ownership to support teams following go-live.

Qualifications

Required

• 3-6 years of experience in fintech, payments, treasury, banking operations, ERP implementations, or technical onboarding roles.
• Understanding of payment processes and banking integrations.
• Familiarity with ISO 20022 payment messages, including pain.001, pain.002, and CAMT reporting files.
• Experience working with SFTP, PGP/GPG encryption, SSH keys, or similar secure file transfer technologies.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience managing client-facing implementations or technical onboarding projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
